A complete garden office, from bare lawn to finished workspace. Prepared a solid, level base, assembled the log cabin, finished the interior with flooring and shelving, then planted a new border alongside to settle it into the garden.

Lifting an old floor revealed rotten joists. I sistered new timbers to the originals, added noggins to stiffen the frame and laid new pine floorboards, leaving a solid, level floor ready for decades more use.

I took out a tired brick fire surround and carefully stripped the plaster from the chimney breast by hand to reveal the original brickwork, turning it into the centrepiece of the room.

A dated marble-faced surround was removed and the fireplace opened back to its original brickwork. Cleared the rubble, repaired the opening and rendered the reveals, ready for a new fireplace.

Inside work from fitting to finishing touches: installing kitchen and utility room units, laying new flooring, and fitting skirting boards, architraves and floating shelves for a clean, finished look.

I raised the loft floor above the insulation, built a strong platform for the water tank and boarded it out, creating safe, usable storage without squashing the insulation.

Groundwork for a new garage: I cleared the site, dug out with a mini digger, laid and compacted the sub-base, set out timber shuttering and poured a level concrete slab.

Outdoor projects big and small: bespoke slatted screening with a garden arch, raised beds for a home allotment, a full front garden and driveway clearance, and relaying sunken block paving.
